Estimates of the number of households in this country with couples of the same sex range from 1.6 million to 6 million. According to a recent survey of self-identified lesbians and gay men, over half of all lesbians and almost 40% of gay men share a household with a partner. And while there are no records at city hall that tell us how many gay and lesbian unions have been celebrated, we do know that they're on the rise, with reported numbers rising each year.

Commitment ceremonies are equivalent to weddings - they just don't involve government licensing and thus are not recognized by the state. This does not mean that a couple should not be allowed to declare their love for each other. Same sex couples have been celebrating their unions in various ways for centuries.

No one can dictate the content of your ceremony. It's your day. Call us - we'll work with you to make it a wonderful and memorable event. See What's Included and Pricing for more information.
